We are so stoked!!!! We cant believe it thanks so much to you guys the fans for voting! We were up against some huge New Zealand bands and you guys really pulled through for us you are the best!

We never expected to win and it was such an honor just to get nominated! But to win was amazing we want to re thank everyone on here for people who didnt see it on tv.

It's with much regret that I have to announce I will no longer be part of False Start.

The Past 3 or so years have been the best of my life, playing music with my best mates has been a great honour and amazing fun.

We have managed to accomplish so much together from our early days at Henderson Primal to the Fall Out Boy show, releasing Don't Walk away to "Through The Looking Glass".

I'd like to thank all of you guys for being so supportive of the band over this time, I can honestly say False Start have the best fans in the world, you guys allowed us to Travel around NZ and Aussie and share our music with you. When we started this in Andrews Garage years ago we had no idea we would ever get to this point.

Due to Health problems and other commitments I have had to let the boys continue on with the journey that is False Start and wish them all the best.

I'll still pop up from time to time and will be always be good mates with the boys.

So for now

We have played with and supported heaps of amazing bands over the last few years that we have been together.

Story of the year, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Aiden, The Used, The Bled, Rise Against, Funeral for a Friend, Bleeding Through, Death by Stereo, Closure in Moscow, Guns for Glory, Gallows and heaps more!

as well as festivals with bands like Bjork, Enter Shakari, Parkway Drive, Anti Flag and heaps more......

We are proud to announce that we will be opening for ESCAPE THE FATE on July 18th at the Transmission Room, 3 days before our album drops and we hit NZ on our album tour.

We want to thank everyone for their ongoing support we love you guys and remember our new single and i video will be out in two weeks as well as the announcement of who the new 5th member of false start is.

Since the release of their thrilling debut album Dying Is Your Latest Fashion, Escape The Fate have been scheming their way to the top as rock's next frontrunners. The Las Vegas bred group conquered crowds on the US Van's Warped Tour, sold out venues touring with bands such as Bless the Fall and Bullet for My Valentine and recently devastated fans in Australia and NZ when they canceled their slot on Taste of Chaos.

"We've been through a lot of shit this last year, and we took all that anger, frustration and sadness and molded it into an album with huge rock choruses, in your face riffs and melodies, and drums that will give your parents a heart attack. we asked you all to contribute to our video by getting your feelings out :) we just wanna apologise because we know you put a lot of hard work into your contributions which were awesome and we fully appreciate each and every single one of them! but things slightly changed in the video concept and they didnt end up in the final video but we have posted them all on buzznet in the GET YOUR FEELINGS OUT GALLERY and we will use them to make a collage video with tour footage for the acoustic version of Home Is A Heartbeat Away :)

Hey everyone, Viz here, All the boys are in the middle of packing for the Aussie tour. We fly out this afternoon for a month over the other side of the ditch. Everyone is amping to get over there are start playing. Thanks everyone that came and checked us out at Killerfest, it was a fun show and I hope everyone checked out Bleeding Through they were off the chain (A personal favourite of mine). We will be travelling through Aussie for the next month and we are looking forward to playing shows and meeting some of our old Aussie buddies and making some new ones. We will be checking Myspace, Buzznet while on the road so stay in touch keep the comments coming and we will be back before you know it. Shortly after we get back to NZ we will be starting our NZ tour with our good buddies Addison, Scenic Drive and the lovely Grace Lawry so we hope to see you all there at the shows. On a personal note, thanks to everyone for your kind words on my Birthday it was much appreciated. Alright I'm off to start my packing and make sure I don't miss my flight. hey all! we've been patiently waiting for our CD's to come back from manufacture and it's taken a lot longer than we thought it would take :( so unfortunately we aren't going to be able to ship them until next week. you will get e-mailed when your order is safely in the post. we are really really sorry but unfortunately it was all out of control. on the bright side! you can now listen to another NEW song on our page! its called 'I Come From A Place' and is the first track on the album...
