hi guys! we love buzznet. we are so stoked to be able to say that the music video for the first single off our new album THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, will be premiered exclusively here on buzznet.com this monday!! so if your a kiwi, remember that it will be more like tuesday our time. the video is for the song PUT YOUR HANDS UP which you can now hear on our page or myspace profile. THANKS SO MUCH to everyone who tuned into DJ Rossstar's show to hear the premiere of the song! sorry it didn't work out that we couldn't call in but as soon as we have a re-schedule date, shall let you all know!

as a thank you to you all here on buzznet for being such a great family of friends to us, the THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS album sampler will be the MP3 of the day on buzznet on the 24th which means a FREE DOWNLOAD! and we all know you can't beat freeeee.

also! due to circumstances completely out of our control, we are very sorry to say that THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS will no longer be released in new zealand on february the 4th. INTERNATIONAL PRE-ORDERS WILL NOW BE SHIPPED OUT ON THE 4TH OF FEBRUARY (because we like to keep to promises as much as possible...) if you live in new zealand, i'm very very sorry but we aren't allowed to ship your order out until the album is released in new zealand. so if you would like a refund you can e-mail store@falsestartrock.com with any questions/probs. but even though we aren't able to ship your order, you WILL still get sent exactly the correct numbered pre-ordered CD. we will still process your order on the 4th so you get the right numbered CD, but will put it aside for mailing. at this stage, we do not have a new release date... but our local record company is thinking march... will let you know as soon as we have a new release date. once again, we are very very sorry. we WILL have copies for sale at venues on our Australian tour. also have added some pre-order shirts on the webstore and bundles so we can raise some $$ for tour please! www.falsestartrock.com/store

Pre-orders will cost $NZ 30 and the first 500 orders received for copies of THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS will be individually numbered, autographed by the band, the plastic case glitter stencilled with the FALSE START logo and a free fold-out poster included, all exclusive to album pre-orders/orders received on our online webstore. All pre-orders will be shipped on the 31st of January. The album is released locally here in New Zealand on the 4th of February.

An album sampler will be uploaded for your listening pleasure tomorrow and will be able to be downloaded for free on our purevolume account from Jan. 21st. So if you haven't already downloaded TEALIGHT FOR BURMA, this week is probably your last chance as all those tracks get replaced with new album songs on both our myspace.com/falsestartband and purevolume.com/falsestartband accounts. There are also heaps of videos from recording you can watch as well to pass the time :)

The music video for PUT YOUR HANDS UP will premiere on Buzznet in hopefully a week's time and the song is premiering this coming week, Jan. 17 7PM PST / Jan. 18 4PM NZtime on DJ Rossstar's online radio show @ idobiradio.com which we are very stoked about. Ace Enders of Early November fame is also on the same night's show so that should be rad.

Dear friends, fans and family,
It's with much regret that we have to announce Kev's departure from False Start. This has been an extremely difficult time for everyone, reasons being personal differences. This in no way means False Start will be breaking up. False Start will remain a four-piece until further notice, but with the help of our friends we will still be able to fulfil our onstage performance obligations over the next few months.
We wish Kevin all the best in his future endeavours. We want to say thank you to everyone for their continuous support in this time. We love you all and will see you very soon.

starting from today, we will be posting sneak peeks at the album artwork for THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS. there will be seven posts, the final being the actual album cover, and on january 14 (new zealand time!), international pre-orders for the album will be available from our online webstore: www.falsestartrock.com/store

please note that the sneak peeks of album artwork, none of the posts will be ACTUAL album artwork found in the album booklet. they are all amazing photos taken by Michael of Breaking Branches Design that were just too good to waste! but didn't fit into the actual album booklet.

the reason we are only doing international pre-orders is because it would really mean the world to us if everyone that is able to buy their copy of the album locally, in new zealand, it would help us get onto the charts. i recommend that a week or two before the album comes out, you place an order with your local record store :)

INTERNATIONAL PRE-ORDERS WILL BEGIN TO BE SHIPPED ON THE 31ST OF JANUARY we will hook up a little something extra as a nice present for those that pre-order internationally which we'll announce a little closer to the time and we'll hopefully have a sweeeet competition running for all you international peeps on buzznet next month as well.

we are so super stoked to be able to now announce that DJ Rossstar will be premiering the very first single off our new album 'THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS' on his online live radio show.
the song is called 'Put Your Hands Up' and this will be your very first chance to hear it so make sure you don't miss out!
